Long Drive Women Break the 400 Yard Barrier

History was made in the 2017 Mile High Showdown when not one but four ladies eclipsed the 400 yard barrier for the first time in golf history.

Eventual champion Troy Mullins (California), Phyllis Meti (New Zealand), Sandra Carlborg (Sweden), and Chloe Garner (South Africa) all beat each other’s new record by precisely 1 yard at a time.

First 400…then 401, 402, and finally 403.  All during round robin qualifying!  Of course you had elevation, wind, and firm terrain which probably added around 60-70 yards to each drive.

But these gals all swing between 115-120 mph consistently, while the average on the PGA men’s tour is 113.

Here is the rundown of the final matches:

The gals hit the ball very straight as well.  Not many men can hit the ball as long and straight as these 4.
